Megan Downs does it again! Guest blog post by my fabulous intern, Megan. Today’s “on location” post is about Cal Anderson Park and a bit of the Capitol Hill neighborhood!
Capitol Hill is a great place to go and visit if you want to enjoy some delicious food and quaint stores. Along with that you can visit Cal Anderson Park and take a break from the city and take a stroll through the park. Capitol Hill is located right off of I-5, via Exit 166 Olive Way. There is ample street parking through out Capitol Hill as well as a paid parking garage on the corner of E Pine St and Harvard Ave.
If you are into trying out new restaurants or family owned stores Capitol Hill would be a great place to walk around and visit new places. Some great restaurants to try out would be Lost Lake, Oddfellows and Molly Moons, there are some crazy unique flavors to try here. Also if you are into books or small cafes try out Elliot Bay Book Company, there is a great selection with a fun café in the back. And if you get tired of the hustle and bustle of the city you can walk over to Cal Anderson Park and relax on a park bench, take the children to the park or take a stroll between the trees.
If you are looking to take some pictures with a more urban or hipster feeling then Capitol Hill would be a great place to walk around see if somewhere catches your eye.
