If you’re seeing this, it’s because you’re a supermom in my orbit of life who is juggling so many things — and I want to help. I’m currently working on a few creative projects (all still in their early stages) and I’m opening up a little Mallory Poppins season to increase my income over the holidays — while doing things I genuinely love, and in ways that I think could genuinely help.
“In every job that must be done,
there must be an element of fun.”
— Mary Poppins
I’ve done a number of things professionally in the creative and marketing space over the years — working in small startups and large companies, running my own businesses, and even earning my M.A. from King’s College London.
In the realm of children and home, I’ve been a nanny on both coasts of the U.S. I’ve done wardrobe and home styling, experience design, and event planning. I’ve also completed a number of interior design projects, both domestically and abroad.
All of this is to say that I’ve had some amazing experiences in my life and work, and I’m grateful for every single one. (Funny side note: I went on a handful of dates in the spring, and based on how some guys responded to my stories about my life so far, I felt like they thought I was lying… but I wasn’t. LOL — I’ve just worn a lot of hats in a lot of places, and I like it that way!)
I’ve met some incredible people through it all and learned from every single setting I’ve worked in. And while I’ve always been a bit of a “Mallory of all trades, master of none,” I used to have some insecurities about that. Now, I recognize it as part of my magic — part of my power — as a creative and as a woman.
I’d love to immerse myself in your world and home, and help things feel calmer, more beautiful, and a little more put together.
A few things to note:
I’m not taking on deep cleaning or heavy cooking, but most other “mom” or home-helping tasks are fair game.
I won’t be offended by any request you have and will always share if it’s outside my scope. I also won’t have an ounce of judgment about any messy room or situation. I feel my best when my home is clean and organized, but I can also be an absolute mess. You should see my place when I feel overwhelmed or have a lot going on (ask any of my closest friends and family as my witnesses). And I don’t even have a partner or kids! So I’m even more aware that I don’t really have a good excuse. :)
I share that only to say my motive is to be a support and encouragement — not someone you need to clean up for or apologize to. I think we all need to do both of those things less.
A start of a list of things I could possibly help with:
Holiday Magic

Wrapping gifts beautifully
Decorating trees, mantles, or tablescapes
Floral arranging or light floral decorating
Helping plan your holiday party — and bringing it to life
Baking cookies or helping kids bake
Writing, printing, and mailing holiday cards
Creating and delivering neighbor or teacher gifts
Family Fun & Household Help
Playing with kids / creative playtime
Fort builder → fort cleaner-upper
Arts & crafts projects
Outings to the park or library
School pickup or drop-off
Light tidying and organizing
Grocery shopping or errand runs
Simple meal prep or snack arranging
Organizing playrooms, closets, or pantries
Creative & Home Projects
Interior styling or mini refreshes
Hanging gallery walls and framing photos — I have an incredible framer and art hanger in Seattle that I’ve worked with on a number of occasions for clients, and I love helping get that art that’s been sitting around finally up on your walls.
Printing and organizing family photos
Seasonal home styling or tablescape design
Setting up kids’ art spaces or play corners
Styling or designing nurseries and children’s rooms
I offer two types of Mallory Poppins days — depending on what kind of help you need:
$200/day (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) → for hands-on, task-oriented support: childcare, errands, tidying, organizing, or general household help.
$400/day (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) → for creative projects that draw on my background in experience design and interior design: things like styling, event setup, home refreshes, or pulling together a magical holiday party.
Think of it as the difference between a helping hand and a creative collaborator. Either way, I’m there to make your life easier, calmer, and more beautiful. These rates apply to locations within a 10-mile radius of my little home in West Seattle. If your home is outside this vicinity, we can discuss a small additional travel rate.
To officially reserve a Mallory Poppins day:
Book your preferred date and time via Calendly.
Send payment via Venmo: @MalloryMacDonald to hold your slot.
Because my time is limited and I’m balancing other creative work, bookings are confirmed once payment is received. This helps me keep my calendar organized and ensures I can give each family my full attention.
If something truly unavoidable comes up (like a serious event or emergency), we can absolutely discuss rescheduling at no additional fee. Otherwise, I do ask that you treat booked days as final so I can plan my schedule accordingly.
