Three bars.
Three stories.

In collaboration with EXP Events, I helped dream up branding and design pieces for these three small temporary bars for a private party. We curated everything from glassware, to wardrobe for the bartenders, to furniture for all three spaces, and also collaborated on designs for three custom menus and branding for each unique bar.

Bar 1

The House Bar

Inspiration

Lutie’s in Austin, Texas.

With lush ferns, warm lighting, a large wooden bar and a green velvet couch, we created a natural, fresh, and comfortable setting for guests to sit and sip.

I also had clipped live ferns in a glass frame with the menu, and let the glass shelving, glassware, glass tequila bottles, and glass vases reflect all of the warm lighting from around the space.

For the bar tenders wardrobe, I selected chambray shirts, and linen aprons, to add additional natural textures to the experience. The client was very happy to see one of their favorite bars, Lutie’s in Austin, Texas, be experienced in their private space.

Bar 2

The Clyde Hills

Inspiration

With strong reference points to the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel and it’s infamous ”Polo Lounge,” we create a whole world for people to step into at The Clyde Hills, named after a neighborhood just outside of Seattle, called Clyde Hill. (Which I must note, is right down the street from where Bill Gates lives! :)

The bar tender wardrobe was a pink polo shirt, taking a more casual spin on the white blazers and black ties found in the Beverly Hills Hotel. For the backyard setting, we thought the pink polo would add a more casual feel, as well as a color pop.

Bar 3

The MacRowell

Inspiration

Scottish Pub and Macallan scotch whiskey

Pulling inspiration from whiskey bars and Scottish pubs, we created a small space that is reminiscent of those environments.

A large vintage metal case held all of the whiskey and citrus, as well as objects I procured from estate sales, bringing a more dated feel to the design.

The menu was mounted on brown leather, and nestled on a wooden stand.

The cocktails were tasty, and the guests loved it!
